Well as usual I have gotten behind on posting. Been non-stop as usual! Let's see........after the Benton's left the beach I had to head home to go to Cumberland, MD for a family funeral. Bob and I decided that since we had to head up in that direction that we would go to The Homestead in VA and play some golf. It was a beautiful resort and the golf course was really nice, we did play in a drizzle the entire day. Since we were there for only one day of golf, Bob wanted to get in as much as possible. So we played 18 at the off site course and then played 9 more at the Old Course. I have found out that 27 holes of golf is not something I want to do on a regular basis! I was exhausted. But of course the next day when we had to check out it was cool and sunny! On to Cumberland for Tasker's burial and then dinner afterward. It was great to catch up with family, reconnect with those we had not seen or talked to in years and to see Sydney. She looked wonderful and just not slowing down very much! We then turned around and headed back home. Bladen and Liz came up for the weekend which is always a treat for us! They are both doing great and plugging along with "married life"! I headed back to Charleston on that Monday to help Hannah get some things done in her classroom! Can't believe that school has already begun for her!

Back to the beach and Fred, Sandy and grandson Lucian were here with Emily, Brad and Coltan. They had great weather and stayed very busy while they were here. Mom came over a couple times and we all went to dinner. It was a good visit with the "big brother"!

After Fred and his family, my neighbor Ann came down with her two little girls. Ann spent her days at the needlepoint store learning new techniques and the girls stayed at the house with Mary Collins, the babysitter that Ann brought with her. Elizabeth Ann enjoyed her time here riding up and down the elevator and chasing Jack and Zoie around the house! Sarah just watched all that was going on around her and smiling smiling smiling! I spent Monday and Tuesday embarrassing myself on the golf course. It had to be the hottest days of the entire summer. The Spartanburg ladies and Greenville ladies all came into town and we played two very pretty courses down here. It was great seeing everyone! I miss them when I am down here. Ann and the girls left on Friday, trying to miss all the traffic heading back home and I spent the afternoon taking a wonderful nap! The dogs were a little pooped out also, so they too, slept!! :)

My nephew and his wife, Adam and Kent, are on the way down. They will arrive tomorrow and that will be the end of summer company! Bladen, Liz and her mom, Blye will be coming down for Labor Day, yea!!!!!!!, and then I will be heading back to Spartanburg the middle of the month to get ready for our trip to Europe.

It was been a busy summer down here at Litchfield but it has been fun seeing everyone!!!!!

Once the Pagano's left, Bob's sister and her family came in for most of the week. They spent the week taking the grandchildren to Broadway at the Beach and other attractions in the area. I had to leave and run up to Charleston. Hannah was to have a little procedure done on her head, you know, the bump that just grows and grows, but once we got to the doctors they told us they would not do it since she is pregnant! So since we could not take care of that, we went furniture shopping for the baby. Hannah found the crib, dresser and changing table. She was pretty excited about that! I came home Wed. evening and then Kathy and her crew had to leave Thursday morning. I spent the day running errands, taking the dogs to get groomed and all the fun stuff that is just day to day!

On Saturday the 18th the Benton's all started coming in! Bob also made the drive down finally! Stephen, Kristin and Millie got here first. I could not believe how Millie had grown and she is sooooo sweet. She puts her arms right out to you to be picked up. Very serious little girl but so so funny!. Then Taylor, John, little John and Benton got here. The boys have grown so much and are so cute!!! They were ready for the beach and went right down and jumped into the ocean! Nancy, Steve, Griffin and his friend Bobby came in last. You know Murphy's Law, if anything can go wrong it will........Nancy had one of those days! She needed the calm of the ocean! It has been a great week.

Griffin and Bobby have spent the week looking for girls, fishing, looking for girls, fishing and looking for girls! Need I even say they are 16!!!

Stephen and I were standing on the porch watching the ocean when I looked out and you could see a very defined water spout! It was the usual trendel coming down and as we watched that one, another formed and it was very wide. I got the binoculars to look at them and they were kicking up alot of water!!! Very pretty since they were very very far out in the ocean! :) Just another beautiful site at the beach!!!

Millie Benton making her way around the house!!!!

Benton Blevins playing...........where is John??????

Benton and Millie working together!!!!

Nancy, John, Bob and I played golf on Monday. Was very overcast which ended up being great as it was not as hot as it could have been! Spent the rest of the day just enjoying being together! Bob and I played golf again the next day and then I spent the afternoon doing errands and running over to Pawleys as Ann Johnson was down with the girls so I spent a little time with them catching up! Goodness the girls have grown! Wed. Steve, Nancy, Bob and I played golf again. Was a pretty toasty day but great company and great golf! Bob had to head back to Spartanburg in the afternoon and I spent the afternoon catching up on laundry and all the stuff you hate to do! Oh well.............I am leaving to head to Charleston and pick up Hannah and Jenny on Thursday and then we are off to Charlotte to stay with Jessica (yes - I am going to be with THREE pregnant girls!!!!) to do some shopping!!!!! Should be a fun weekend!

Well all, that is it for this posting! Catch up with you all later!!!!

I hate trying to get these pictures in here correctly.  I can't do it but I will figure it out some day!!  The Pagano's left the beach today after being here for the week.  We all had a great time.  Little Addison had us all wrapped around her little finger!  She is so cute and such a good baby.  Poor Annie got down here and then was sick with a cold and fever for several days.  Not the best of vacations for her!  Luke brought his paddle boards down so everyone was on those all week!

Liz and Rick were here for most of the week but had to run back to Raleigh to see patients.  Anne has to run to Jacksonville, NC for a day for work.  Nunzio flew in early Friday morning and got to spend the weekend!  Maybe next year he can stay a little longer!

The Pearson's, Bob's sister and her family, came in this afternoon for the week.  I have to run up to Charleston on Tuesday for the day.  Pretty much a quiet week this week!

Hope everyone has a good week!

Well, I did not get back to this blog as soon as I thought I would.  Summer is here and is very busy so I have not been on here much to say the least.
OK, I stopped on the wedding day.  Everything went really well on the wedding day.......Liz, her mother and bridesmaids got ready in their  Cottage at the Belvedere and we had our cottage for overflow and for Bladen and his groomsmen to hang out.  Bladen and Liz decided that they wanted to see each other before the wedding and to also get most of the pictures out of the way before the wedding began.  They were both just very happy and I know Bladen was pretty relaxed and Liz was too.  Once we got out to Boone Hall Plantation, we got most of the pictures taken care of.  Really all we had to do afterwards were group family pictures and the signing of the marriage license ect.  Clay Turner did a great job officiating and really made them feel at ease.  After the wedding most of us walked down to the Cotton Dock which is where the reception was.  Bladen and Liz had a little time to themselves getting down there.  They both managed to make it thru the first dance which they both were not looking forward to!  Once all the dances were out of the way the party began.  The food was delicious, Stacey Fraunfelter did
a bang up job coordinating the wedding/reception and turned the "barn" into a beautiful reception area!  There was a fantastic breeze the entire night so all you had to do was walk out onto the dock and get cooled off!  Liz's mother Blye, looked beautiful and she did a bang up job on this wedding!  I was just happy that it was all off my back the previous night!  It was so good to have so many family and friends attend.  This time around I actually got to visit with some friends.    It was definitely a big weekend for the Brannon family as not only did we have a fantastic time with the wedding but Hannah and Jason told us they were expecting!  For some strange reason Hannah decided to do a pregnancy test the night of the rehearsal dinner and she was very surprised to say the least when it popped up positive!!!  I must say that when they pulled Bob and I to the side that night I was in shock!  But more about that later.....  Bladen and Liz left under the twinkling of sparklers and jumped into the Bentley and off they went to their hotel down town.  It was a great weekend and one that we will always remember!

Once we got home things of course did not go back to normal ...... I don't think I know what "normal" is anymore!  lol  We had decided to removed all the carpet in the bedrooms and lay hardwoods.  Let me tell you something, that is like moving out all over again!  You have to move everything!  I had set this up so the work would be done while I was at the be
ach!  Bob and I moved a good bit of the stuff ourselves and we moved on down to the guest house, see Bob .... we did need that guest house!, to get out of the way!    What a nightmare!

I finally made it to the beach the first week of June and all the "high school" girls were starting to arrive on the 6th.  We had a great week!  The best part of maintaining these relationships, they already know the skeletons, the uglies and anything else we don't want "other" people to know!  lol  We sat on the beach ...... we hit the knitting store a couple times ..... did some shopping on and off during the week ..... had some great dinners out and in ...... and we must not forget .....  the spa day!  There is nothing like hitting the spa with your friends!  Terri and Holly went two days!  I should have joined them that second day.  I don't know what the heck I was thinking!!!  Barrie and I did manage to get out on the golf course and play.  We managed to hold our own and not embarrass ourselves!  The big accomplishment of the week .... Laurie read an entire book in one day!  Hard to find what she likes to read but she grabbed one and that was all we heard from her that day!  It has been a great year as I have gotten to see my friends several times this year ..... Holly, Terri, Laurie, Betty, Patty all made it to Hannah's wedding ..... Holly, Terri and Betty made it to Bladen's wedding and Barrie joined us at the beach and sad to say Patty could not!

Terri found out she is going to be a grandmother, yes Kristen is expecting I believe the first of November and then Hannah will be due in January.  Soooo of course we had to start knitting!  I have done several hats and I have started a sweater, we will see how that goes!  Terri, how are you coming on your piece????  Terri asked if she could do a shower for Hannah and I was so touched and appreciative.  Terri has been with us from day 1 with Hannah's wedding and right on to Bladen's wedding with Liz.  She has been a godsend and doing this baby shower is icing on the cake!  Thanks Ter!!!!!!!

As you can expect, the beach house has been just about under siege!  After my friends came down we had a small break here at the house.  A friend of ours was down at Ocean Lakes for the week and Bob and I met up with her to play golf a couple days and then Jamie Rowland and his family were down so Bob and I played golf with Jamie and Todd Turner!  Very humbling I must say!  :)

Then is was back to Spartanburg to deal with the mess that I left!  The hardwoods look beautiful but it sure took an entire day to get all the furniture moved back to where it belongs.  I did move my office and I am setting up a nursery for the baby(s), hint hint Bladen!  Got some rooms painted and most of the ceilings painted so things are looking fresh again!  Let me tell you though, I was exhausted and don't want to move furniture ever again!!!

Hannah, Jason and his parents came on down to the beach the last week of June.  They got some fishing in, Hannah got some good sleep and the weather was great.  We went up to Garden City one night for dinner at a friend of the Bodies and we were treated to a "beauty pagent" by the men!  I will post a picture but I will not name names!!!!  They all headed home that weekend and the Pagano's came into town!

My sister Anne, Liz and Rick, Sunita (Nunzio's girlfriend) Annie, Luke and little
Addison have been down here for the 4th.  Addison is such a little doll.  She is 6 months old and I find it hard to keep my hands off of her.  Practice, practice, practice!  Bob made it down here for a few days before he had to head back to Spartanburg but he will be back sometime next week!

I think that all this should catch me up!  I hope that everyone is doing well!

The Wedding Weekend!

I have been waiting for some pictures before I sat down to work on the blog.  I have pictures of the bridal luncheon and the girls getting ready for the wedding!

The weekend began with the guys going to play golf.  Bladen did not play, as he does not play golf, so he "played" host to all the guys.  That means visiting each group that was playing and plying them with beer for the day!  They all managed to show up to the rehearsal in the upright position so they must have behaved somewhat!

The girls all met for lunch at Poe's on Sullivan's Island for lunch and some serious beach time!  Blye, Liz's mother, and I went early to capture a table as we had been told they fill up fast and boy do they!  As we sat there waiting for the girls to make their appearance we had about four or five people try to sit down and take over the table!  The bridesmaids that were in town all came out for lunch and then they headed over to the beach for some extra sun!  Beth, Kara, Claire, Julie, Jocelyn and Liz all made it!  Hannah had to work and Liz's sisters, Kate and Molly, had plane trouble the night before and did not get in til later and Nicole had not gotten in town yet..    Liz handed out her goodie bags to the girls and lunch was really really good!  They all had a great time.

I spent the rest of the afternoon rounding up family members that were coming into town and just doing errands that always seem to crop up during weddings!

Everyone was told to be at Boone Hall at 5:45 so we could get started by 6 p.m. but alas, there is always one late person!

Bob and I stayed thru the first walk thru and then had to head on over to the Citadel Beach House for the rehearsal dinner.    I must say that the food was great and everyone was having a great time.  Of course my family was up to some foolishness!  I don't think I even want to know who came up with the "Jowler Wave" but I must say it was very interesting!  I do know that the Pagano group can be down right crazy so I am putting this on them!

All the toasts went very well.  Bob told them all that if it were left up to Bladen to do the rehearsal dinner we would have been having a "Kegger" party and I must say ....... he was probably right!  Billy Little did a great job with his toast!  Jocelyn, the maid of honor did a great job!  And then there was Julie!  Julie did a sorority rap for us that was really funny!  I think Julie has another profession is she so chooses!  Poor Bladen was probably worried about me.  He knew I was going to get up and say a few words and rightly so, he should have been worried.  BUT, being the good mother that I am, I let him off the hook and behaved myself.  I did pass on to Liz  Bladen's little sailor suit from when he was a little boy!

Bladen and Liz had big smiles all night and that is what you want for your children ..... happiness!  This is the end of this blog.  I will be back on in a few days to work on the actual wedding day!

Bye for now..........

WEDDING!!!!!!

Well I am back in Charleston for wedding #2!  Six months since the last wedding so I guess it is time to do another one!  Bladen and Liz will be married on Saturday and we are all slowly coming into town.   I went to Terri's (remember The Gown Boutique of Charleston!) to try my dress on for the last time and it looks great.  She will deliver my dress and Liz's dress Saturday morning.  Liz's dress is so pretty and I know she is going to be a gorgeous bride!

Hannah's house will be full with guests.  Her cousins will be staying with her for the first time and her good friend Jessica and her husband Arv.  I am sure they will all have a great time together!  Those crazy Brannon kids!!!!!

Bladen will be driving in tomorrow.  He and the guys will be playing golf on Friday and luncheon on Sat.  Had to find something to keep the guys busy during the day Sat. to keep them out of trouble while the girls are getting ready!!!  Bob also will be driving in Thursday so once he gets here then the gang will all be here!!!!!

Well that is all for now.  Will update later!!!!!!

This week has been a beautiful week.  I love all the plants coming into bloom.  All the rhododendron are in bloom and the azaleas are just about pooped out but they are still pretty.  Everything is just so green and fresh and finally spring is really here!  I thought for sure we would go from late winter straight into summer but spring decided to make an entrance!  The grass was cut today and there is nothing that smells better then freshly cut grass!    I sure hope we don't have drought conditions again this summer and that everything will stay as beautiful as now!!

Hannah is up in Maryland with Jason at her ten year high school reunion at Garrison Forest.  My sister is up there as well so I am sure they will meet up some time over the weekend.  Hannah says the school looks nothing like it did when she went there!  Lots of improvements but also lots of disappointment as they have not renovated any of the dorms and looks like they really are trying to phase out boarding students.  That would be a terrible loss.  There just are not that many all girls boarding schools left.  My mother also went to Garrison so there are three generations in the family that have attended there!  At least Hannah got over the flu before she went but she now is plagued with allergies!

Bob and I are heading down to Atlanta on Saturday to see Bladen and Liz.  They were here last weekend and loaded up the truck with desk, chaise,  dogs, etc. and did not have room to take their wedding gifts home so we will run them down for them.  Hard to believe that in a week we will all be in Charleston for their wedding!  Been a long engagement but this week is going to fly by!

If any of you guys ever do a wedding in Charleston you must call Terri Espy at Gown Boutique of Charleston and Stacey Fraunfelter of Red Letter events.  Both Hannah and Liz got their dresses with Terri and they are just beautiful and Stacey took all the stress off of planning a wedding!

I am looking forward to seeing my sister, brother and mother all in Charleston!  Great time for all the cousins to catch up too!  We have lots of friends coming to the wedding and it will be fun to spend time with them also!  Life just can't get any better right now!

Enjoy spring everyone!!!!!

Feeling Better!

Well, Hannah had the flu!  She tried going to work today and could not do it so went on to the doctor.  Was dehydrated and they gave her a bag of IV fluids and that really helped her!  I was happy that she finally went to see what was going on!  She is going to Maryland this weekend for her 10 year reunion and now she can do it feeling better!!!  Hard to believe that it has been 10 years since she graduated from Garrison!!!!

Bladen got thru his first two graduate classes and blew the top off them!  You did a great job Bladen and we are really proud of you!  This program will fly by!

I am on the Board of Directors for Mobile Meals of Spartanburg and we served lunch today to all the volunteers!  These volunteers are such great people and so very dedicated.  There are roughly 150 volunteers EVERY DAY delivering meals!  Spartanburg County is truly lucky to have this organization and the people that run it!  Thank you all for everything you do.

Bob and I went and played golf this afternoon also.  It was such a beautiful day!  The golf might not have been pretty but it was fun!!!

Sunday, April 26, 2009

It was a great weekend!  The kids came home, minus the son-in-law, and it was a great visit!  Jason had to stay home as they were having hard wood floors put in on Sat.  He sent pictures and it really looks good!  Also had to take the pugs to get their shots.  We will see him in Charleston in about 8 days when we go down for Bladen and Liz's wedding!

So Hannah, Bladen and Liz were here and we had a great time.  They were so funny!  Spent Saturday going to crazy places for Bladen so we spent a good bit of time in the car.....five of us!  Always so nice when things are cozy!!!  Then when we got back he had school work to do, Liz had a nap to take and poor Hannah was not feeling well so she was basically in the bed for the rest of her visit!  We grilled steaks and veggies and it was sooooo good.  Good job Bladen!  The kids took my office apart for me and each of them took a desk so now my office looks like a bomb went off in it!  Will spend the next couple days just trying to put things in a place where I can find things!!!!

We are going to pull out all the carpet in the bedrooms and put in hardwood floors and then I am going to move my office to another bedroom and I will get it all set back up when I can find a desk that I want.   Need to look at paint colors and light fixtures as I need to change that "gothic" thing that has been in there!!!

Lots of little appointments this week but hope to get in a couple days of golf!  Lets hope the weather holds up!  It was beautiful this weekend and I miss my children already!

13 days until the last one says "I do"!!!!!!!

Not much to report from the Brannon home front, but my friend Josie was giving me a hard time that I had not posted in a couple days!!!  So Josie, this is for you!!!

The exciting news, my Range Rover is getting a new transmission!  Took it over for the 52,000 mile check and told them to check the transmission, that it was making a noise that bothered me and low and behold, they are giving me a new one!!!

Bob went and played golf at Augusta yesterday and I am so jealous!  He had a great time and didn't play to badly!  lol  He did say that the greens were a bear!  I played golf yesterday at Woodfin Ridge and I am here to tell you that the greens were a bear up there too!  I played with Fran, Judy and Peggy and it was great seeing them!  It has been awhile and was lots of fun to catch up.   Was a tad chilly when we began and lots of wind, but by the end it had warmed up and was beautiful!  Hopefully will get to play some tomorrow!

Hannah, Bladen and Liz are all coming home tomorrow which I am really excited about!  They are hitting town to get hair cuts etc. before Bladen's big day!!  Can't believe the wedding is just around the corner! I love it when the kids come home!!!  Why don't they visit me more often?   What am I going to do when all the weddings are over????    OK kids, I need some grandkids!!!!!

Well, sorry not much to report.  Josie came over to visit today and it was great seeing her!  She is "tanning" for the wedding, is this the Josie I know????  What she does for friends!  lol

Be back next week!  Have a great weekend all!!!!!!!!!!

Saturday, April 18, 2009

Hi guys,  This was my view this morning when I got up!  Yes, I am down at the beach and finally I have good weather!  Seems like every time I would come down it would rain or would be sooooo cold!  Zoie and Jack love being down here.  I swear, Zoie knows when we are at the beach as soon as I turn onto our road!  She loves going to the beach which also means that Jack loves it too.  He is not going to be "bested".  They are so funny watching them chase each other on the beach and then digging their holes.  Well, Jack digging his hole - if Zoie even attempts to dig one, Jack pushes her out of the way and takes it over!  He can be such a little jerk!!!

This little guy was our "golf buddy" today!  This is really just the baby.  Looks to be about 4 - 5 feet long.  Not too sure and was not going to get closer to see.  The first one we saw about 2 holes back was at least 12 feet long and I decided it really was not worth getting close for a picture.  You will just have to trust me on this one.  We saw several others floating in the water.  It must have been a very "fertile" year for those guys.  The golf was fun.  The weather was beautiful and they guys that we got paired with were very nice.  My game sure has been up and down lately so at least today was not too terribly bad UNTIL the last three holes.  We won't talk about those!!!!!

Bladen and Liz are up in Annapolis for a wedding this weekend.  I really hope that they have time to look around while they are there.  I can remember staying on my grandfathers boat and watching a wedding over at the Naval Academy!  It was so cool!!!!!  Their wedding is right around the corner!  I am so excited for them.

Hannah and Jason are up at the lake this weekend for a friends birthday.  Hannah got a nice surprise at school the other day.  She is one of 16 teachers in the county, grades 2 thru 5, that had improving test scores of her children thru the year.  The kids take this test three times during the school year to see how they are progressing.   She and the others will have lunch with the superintendent sometime next week.  She was the only teacher from her school so we are really proud of her.  Her kids were really excited and wanted to know what they were going to get!  lol  She is going to have a "dress down" day for them!!!  She is also just weeks away from completing her second Master's Degree!!!  She tells me that she is finally done with school!!!!

Well that is all from the beach.  We are going to play golf early tomorrow morning before we have to head back to Spartanburg!!!!  Then Bob is off to Augusta to play golf!

Since I am going backwards in this blog, I wanted to post some pictures from our trip to South Africa.  We went with Sharron and Marshall Dildy and we had such a good time!  We went to Ca
pe Town, Johannesburg, Victoria Fall, Soweto and to Thorny Bush Lodge.

Sharron had a bum knee but she did great!  She got us thru all security very quickly since she was in a wheel chair!!  She did manage to get around Africa on crutches though.  I can't even begin to expl
ain the beauty of the country and the people were very nice.  Each place we went was as beautiful as the last.  My favorite was the bush!  Now, please understand, when I say the bush I mean a nice cabin and not a tent!  I don't do tents!  But it was beautiful...........

I am not going to bore you with a "bunch" of pictures, so just enjoy...............

The clock tower in Cape Town

This man was a prisoner with Mandela and now does tours of the prison.  As Marshall said, we were being talked to by a terrorist!  He had blown a building back in the day!!!!

The Brannon cousins and their spouses.  This was taken at Bladen and Liz's engagement party in Spartanburg in February.  They all had a good time and I was just happy to have them all around!

This is such a good picture of the "happy couple"!

Seems like everyday there are numerous emails to deal with regarding the wedding!  They certainly pick up a little bit the closer it gets.
This is going to be such a fun time!  Liz has finally gotten her tests results and is now working on the Cardiac Floor at Crawford Long, but I think the name of the hospital has changed!!!  Bladen is still working at HD Supply.  They have two dogs, Santaria and Lou Lou!  They are both sweet dogs even though Santeria tends to nip our thighs!  Well, he is a herding dog so what can you expect!

This is a picture of Hannah and I at a shower in Spartanburg before she got married.  It was a lot of fun and she got great things!  It was a "holiday" shower where the people would bring her something from their favorite holiday!  I had never heard of a shower like this but it was wonderful!  She had lots of fun!

This is our son-in-law Jason.  He and Hannah go married in October.  They have two dogs also, Hazel and Molly.  I call Molly the "devil dog" as she is full of so much energy!!!!  Jason loves boating and fishing! Oh, and the Gamecocks!!!  Hannah teaches third grade in downtown Charleston.  She is so good with the kids!  She is also just about finished with her Master's from the Citadel.

Well we finally have a beautiful day and I have to sit around and wait for the service guy!  I think I will move on outside and enjoy the sun and read a little bit.  Bob is on the golf course which is where I wish I was!  He also gets to go play Augusta next week and let me tell you, I am jealous!!!!

Hello All!

Thought this might be a fun way to stay in touch with family and friends and let you all know what we are up to!

As you can see, my dogs love to "hang out" on the back of our furniture.  It really is nice as they snuggle up to you.  After a good friend of mine, Nancy, got a Bichon, I fell in love and had to have one too so that is how Zoie came to live with us.  Nancy and I would take care of each other's dog if we had to go somewhere and they loved the company!  So Nancy got me in trouble when she decided to get her second dog and of course then I had to get another and that is how Jack came to us. They love each other and are joined at the hip!   Zoie loves to watch TV and bark at the animals on the television!  She can be under the bed, the TV muted and she KNOWS when an animal comes on - please someone explain that to me!!!!!!  Jack likes to take over our king size bed.  We have yet to figure out how a 12 lb. dog can just about push us out of the bed!  But we do love them!

Our daughter Hannah got married this past October to Jason so our family has grown.  Our son Bladen will be getting married May 9th to Liz and we love her also!  It is fun to see our kids start their own lives!!!

Well, lets see how this blog goes.  I am not sure anyone will follow it but what the heck!
